Giving with PAR (Pre-Authorized Remittance)

Are you feeling up to PAR?

Central United started participating in the United Church of Canada‚Äôs Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR) program in June, 2008.  In doing this, we joined more than 2250 United Church congregations across Canada who already participate in the program which started over 35 years ago.  At Central, 19 individuals or families now use the program to facilitate their weekly givings to the Church.  The advantage for those individuals and families is they can plan, in advance, the amount they would like to give to the Church and no longer need to prepare cheques or find the cash to put in envelopes each week.  The advantage for Central is that the Stewards can better plan their budget with an even, steady flow of givings year round.

Are you interested in participating in PAR?  Colin Mann is the PAR Coordinator for Central, and brochures and forms to sign up can be found at the back of the church, obtained from the church office or downloaded from the links below.  The forms can be returned, in a sealed envelope, to Colin or to the office.

For those of you already participating in the PAR program, remember that the laminated cards for placement in the offering plate, if you wish, can be found at the back of the church.  Several people have asked how they can make special donations over and above their PAR amount.  These can still be placed in a plain envelope, with your name and where the offering is to be directed, on the outside, and it will be credited to you along with your PAR amount.

If anyone has any questions or queries about the program, please contact Laureen in the church office or contact Colin.
